Which is a shame, because magic can help in so many ways - being a mage gives you a massive advantage in the mod's duelling system, allowing you to take down even vampires and daemons in single combat. There's no way to actually find out if they have the trait until you actually try to learn magic with them though. Magic in Warhammer isn't something everyone can do - being able to use magic is an inherited recessive trait, and its unlikely my current character has it. I don't think I can use magic anyway at the moment. Lastly, a pious ruler can actually call them into battle against their enemies if they like you enough, which obviously they won't if you kick them out. They won't hunt down heretics in your realm which can lead to heretics popping up everywhere and dragging you down from the inside. You also won't be able to borrow money from them. Kicking them out will stop them, but unless you've a vampire or openly a heretic, this will incur a massive piety penalty. ![]() However, if you are a heretic or a mage and they discover this then they'll burn you as well. Heretic vassals can also rebel and attack you, which is nasty, especially when they summon demons to help them. In some ways that's a good thing, because heretics can start plots to corrupt other members of your court and your vassals, and all kinds of nasty stuff. If they find them they'll try to burn them. They can also place witch hunter courtiers in your court if they suspect anyone in your court of heresy or using magic. They'll try to assassinate 'hunt down' vampires, witches and the like on their own. See, in this mod the witch Hunters are actually a faction - based near Reikguard Castle - with their own land and incomes and armies. Though his magic wouldn't matter anyway in that regard -he's a vampire, so the witch hunters will try to kill him regardless of if he uses magic or not. he expelled the witch Hunters from his country, so there's nobody to try to burn him at the stake.
